Well, I didn't think I would get the novel out on time, but I did. Two days before Halloween. It's been a blur of a year so far. With my head stuck in books for the most of it, I am now wondering where the time has gone because Halloween has already been and the novel is out there. I should feel a little deflated, but I have other projects on the go that are demanding much of my time.
I've already started the third and possibly the final in the Town Halloween Forgot series. The challenge to finish it in time for next Halloween is already on, and I think I am feeling the pressure. Again, it is another book with lots of sub plots and many characters. I have to tie up loose ends and send Danny off in a way that I feel is right for the series. What that will be is still undecided as I am not sure if I ever want to come back to it in the future.
Although, I'm sure by the end of writing book three I will feel somewhat sad and may start planning a prequel. There is an idea churning around my head as I type, so it is a distinct possibility it may happen.
With all that said, I must get back to Hallows three. Title has already been worked out and I have lots and I mean, lots of notes to sift through. Danny is suffering two very big losses in his life in this book, and the depression and anger changes him. It's going to be a tough one to do, I think, but throwing yourself in at the deep end is what being a writer is all about.
Until next time....
